Subject: | [CPEO-MEF] "BRAC track" at Brownfields 2005 |
This year's national brownfields conference - Brownfields 2005 (Denver, CO, November 2-4) - will feature a "BRAC track" of technical sessions and mobile workshops focused on the remediation and redevelopment of base realignment and closure (BRAC) sites. This year the Department of Defense will announce that numerous military bases will be closed, affecting dozens of communities across the country. Because of the pending BRAC process, as well as the similarities between brownfield and military base cleanup and reuse, Brownfields 2005's BRAC track will feature educational opportunities and technical expertise appropriate for all levels of knowledge and experience. For more information about Brownfields 2005 or to register on line, see http://www.brownfields2005.org or e-mail <brownfields2005@icma.org>. -- Lenny Siegel Director, Center for Public Environmental Oversight c/o PSC, 278-A Hope St., Mountain View, CA 94041 Voice: 650/961-8918 or 650/969-1545 Fax: 650/961-8918 <lsiegel@cpeo.org> http://www.cpeo.org _______________________________________________ Military mailing list Military@list.cpeo.org http://www.cpeo.org/mailman/listinfo/military | |
