Agency seeks repair of Camp Bonneville fence The Oregonian March 9, 2005 A deteriorated stretch of fence surrounding Camp Bonneville is raising concerns that hikers, hunters and children could unwittingly enter the former Army testing range and stumble across dangerous unexploded weapons. Representatives from the Washington Department of Ecology plan to examine portions of the damaged fence today. The department has written to Eric Waehling, the Army's environmental coordinator for Camp Bonneville, asking that the fence be repaired and that the Army provide safety education to residents around the property. Waehling said last week that he is aware of the problem and that he has consulted with U.S. Navy Seabees to assist in repairing the fence. ...
