Air Guard to test water, soil Billings Gazette (MT) August 20, 2005 CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Air National Guard will drill monitoring wells in three Cheyenne neighborhoods later this month to determine whether chemical solvents used on the base in the 1960s and '70s have contaminated soil or groundwater. Maj. Rob Miknis, environmental engineer for the 153rd Civil Engineer Squadron, said the solvents were used on the base to clean and maintain military equipment and may have gotten into soil and groundwater through routine use. ...
