Living in Wyle’s back yard Norco neighbors upset with results of area cleanup By Amy Frye Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (CA) January 30, 2006 NORCO - At first glance the three homes at the end of Golden West Lane seem like any other. But upon closer inspection a few things are out of place. They're not obtrusive, but there on each lawn are large black metal squares and white cement circles like misplaced manholes. But there is nothing haphazard or accidental about their placement. The square-shaped covers mark vapor extraction wells 5 to 10 feet beneath the surface, constantly sucking out contaminated soil gas and pumping it to a carbon filtration system that releases clean air. ...
