PAVE PAWS verdict eludes researchersBy KEVIN DENNEHY Cape Cod Times (MA) March 10, 2006 More than five years after federal lawmakers demanded a series of studies into the health effects of an Air Force radar station in Sagamore, questions remain. Despite recent reports that found no link between the PAVE PAWS station and elevated disease rates on the Upper Cape, an independent research group reported yesterday it will be difficult to ever reach an absolute conclusion. In fact, researchers from the National Academies of Science told a Woods Hole audience yesterday that a $450,000 epidemiology study into Cape health trends - which found no link between the station and disease - was based on flawed methodology. ...
