Airport zoning board wants TIRZ suspended

The City of Del Rio Joint Airport Zoning Board convened in city council 
chambers Wednesday to consider a two-item agenda.

The city’s developing Comprehensive Master Plan and the controversial SE 
Ranch abutting Laughlin Air Force Base were up for discussion.

Board Chairman Jack Richardson, Del Rio International Airport director, 
managed the meeting. Also attending were city delegates Eldon Kohlman, 
retired national park ranger, and Mark A. Hewitt, 47th Flying Training 
Wing deputy director of maintenance at Laughlin Air Force Base.
