Kelly worker's family believes asbestos exposure led to cancers

On the Sleuthing Trail ...

CASE: "Roddy, my husband grew up on the South Side, and his father was a plumber at Kelly for 38 years.

"My sister-in-law passed away three years ago, at age 53, from peritoneal mesothelioma, and my husband is living with a diagnosis of peritoneal mesothelioma, which is caused by exposure to asbestos.

"We believe that my father-in-law brought 'asbestos dust' home on his clothing.

"Through the years, your columns about Kelly contamination have focused on degreasers and other contaminants. I'm wondering if you have any information on asbestos?"
