Beach 12 Homes Evacuated In Area KNBC-4 TV News (Los Angeles) Associated PressJuly 5, 2007 UPDATED: 10:49 am PDT July 5, 2007CRESCENT BEACH, Fla. -- Some Florida beachgoers got an early fireworks show on July Fourth after finding a World War II-era bomb in the sand. The bomb was detonated on Florida's Crescent Beach. The explosion sent debris flying up to 30 feet in the air. Authorities evacuated 12 homes in the area after someone walking along the beach found the old bomb in the sand. ...
