PCBs likely came from Lockheed, agency says Fort Worth Star-Telegram - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services December 30, 2007 The pollution that has made it unsafe to eat fish from Lake Worth most likely came from the Lockheed Martin plant, according to tests by the U.S. Geological Survey. There's no danger to people who swim in the lake or to the city water supply, according to the government tests and the Air Force, which owns the plant. But the Air Force has not met a goal set in 1995 of reducing the pollution to a level where it won't endanger fish in the lake, and more tests are going on. The pollutants are continuing to enter the lake. "It's small quantities, not like a continuous flow," said George Walters, the Air Force's restoration project manager. "We're talking a handful every time it rains." ...
