You are invited to attend a brownbag roundtable discussion: Spring Valley and Munitions Burial Thursday, April 17, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm DC Environmental Network at Friends of the Earth 1717 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Suite 600. Global Green USA and the DC Environmental Network at Friends of the Earth will host a roundtable discussion on the history and issues surrounding the burial of WWI munitions in the Spring Valley neighborhood. The discussion will be primarily focused on the current search for World War I chemical munitions, remediation of contaminated properties, and concerns that the health and safety of District residents continues to be at risk. Participants will include Paul Walker of Global Green USA, Kent Slowinski, a Spring Valley activist and other stakeholders.
