One step closer City Council moves to acquire space for new park, maintenance facility By Lara K. Richards Wichita Falls Times Record News (TX) April 16, 2008 The city of Wichita Falls took another step toward acquiring and redeveloping the U.S. Army Reserve Post on Ninth Street. The city held a public hearing concerning the project during Tuesday morning's council meeting. Once the Army closes the post, which is scheduled for some time in 2009, the city will turn the facility into a large parks maintenance facility as well as a small park, said Karen Montgomery-Gagne, a senior planner for the city. ...
