Fort reuse panel assessing homeless housing need Draft plan for fort to be made public beginning July 23 BY JENNA O'DONNELL Red Bank Hub (NJ) July 10, 2008EATONTOWN - The draft final plan for Fort Monmouth's reuse has been delivered to the fort's three host towns for review as the fort redevelopment authority begins its push toward the Sept. 8 deadline. During a special meeting held at its headquarters on Industrial Park Way on July 2, the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Planning Authority (FMERPA) announced that it had begun negotiations with submitters of Notices of Interest (NOI) on behalf of the homeless. The authority passed a resolution authorizing its staff to start negotiations with NOI submitters who provide care for the homeless, during a special meeting held last week. FMERPA is federally mandated to provide housing for the homeless when Fort Monmouth closes in 2011. ...
