Ranchers, developers condemn Laughlin-protective legislation By Bill Sontag Southwest Texas LIVE! January 15, 2009"There's none of us in here that wants to see Laughlin move," asserted Darrell Hargrove, rancher, livestock transporter, and developer, Wednesday night (Jan. 14). Hargrove's comments arose from longstanding personal fears about erosions of private property rights, and the potential he sees in legislation being sponsored in the Texas house and senate to do just that.
