Monitoring continues on plume in Layton Ogden Standard-Examiner (UT) March 20, 2009LAYTON -- Monitoring work of a contaminated groundwater plume is continuing as Hill Air Force Base environmental restoration officials attempt to better define its shape and size. The City Council Thursday heard a short update from base officials, who assured residents there is no health risk from the plume. "We're going to be here for awhile," said Barbara Hall, site manager for Operable Unit 8, which takes in the Layton area. ....
