ROCKY MOUNTAIN PEACE AND JUSTICE CENTER RELEASE: Monday, April 20, 2009There's lot being dug up in Denver, according to a new Special Investigative Report called GROUNDS FOR CONCERN.It's the result of a two month investigation into the Denver Federal Center, currently the site of a redevelopment plan, and is of significance for community health, protection of workers on the jobs, and government accountability at toxic sites around Colorado and beyond. It's also the kick-off for a new initiative at RMPJC, called "CO WATCH." It's an avenue for us to strengthen our partnerships in the community and give voice to a growing number of RMPJC's members seeking more protective action around contaminated lands that pose risks to workers and members of the community around a variety of toxic contaminated sites here in the Rocky Mountain region and seeking better solutions for viable communities, especially during these troubled economic times. ...
