Meade to probe extent of water contamination Area residents worried response is not quick enough By JOSHUA STEWART Annapolis Capital (MD) May 15, 2009Environmental officials at Fort George G. Meade intend to find out how far into adjacent communities contaminated water has spread from the west county Army post. And post experts may have tracked the source of cancer-causing pollution to a site that was first used for a dry-cleaning operation during World War I.
