Ingleside base redevelopment group adds two projects By Fanny S. Chirinos Corpus Christi Caller Times (TX) August 27, 2009CORPUS CHRISTI - INGLESIDE - Neither of the two newest priority projects of the Ingleside Local Redevelopment Authority are in Ingleside, but officials say that's OK because the group is responsible for bringing jobs to the region, not just the city. The projects in Robstown and Corpus Christi, worth a combined $22.25 million, join six others already identified as priority projects by the authority. The authority is charged with planning the redevelopment of 155 surplus acres at Naval Station Ingleside. Part of its job is to mitigate the 4,135 direct and indirect civilian jobs that will be lost when the Navy leaves next year. ...
