Parts of Wyle Labs property may never be safe for homes, experts say By LESLIE PARRILLA Riverside Press-Enterprise (CA) October 21, 2009An update Wednesday on contamination at the former Wyle Laboratories site in Norco showed that some areas may never be clean enough to build homes on, and that the land is in foreclosure. Testing is complete and cleanup is under way to control the spread of contaminated groundwater on the more contaminated section of the 429-acre site, according to the update. The information was presented at a Norco City Council meeting by Rafat Abbasi, the senior project manager for the state Department of Toxic Substances Control, and Joseph Aldern, a consultant for the city. ...
