Ingleside LRA's federal grant request returned By Fanny S. Chirinos Corpus Christi Caller Times (TX) November 19, 2009CORPUS CHRISTI - Members of the Ingleside Local Redevelopment Authority will discuss revising a $5 million grant request sent Monday to a federal agency after it was sent back a day later because of lack of funds. The grant request included $3.6 million for engineering and design work on two projects, more than $700,000 for Port of Corpus Christi consultants redeveloping the other acres of the Ingleside base and the authority's operating costs. The group, charged with redeveloping 155 surplus acres of Naval Station Ingleside when the base closes, submitted its request for an 18-month period beginning Dec. 1. ...
