Land-use study planned for areas around Malmstrom, missile facilities

Phoenix-based Matrix Design Group will study land-use polices around 
Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls and its missile alert and launch 
facilities in nine northcentral Montana communities.

Over the next year, planners with the company will study existing and 
potential development around military facilities and potential conflicts 
such as wind farms and cell-phone towers, said Joe Briggs, chairman of 
the Cascade County Commission.

"The better neighbor we are back and forth, the better the relationship 
will stay," Briggs said.
