Regulators: Cape base can train with grenade George Brennan Cape Cod Times (MA) March 27, 2010CAMP EDWARDS - National Guard soldiers training at Camp Edwards have a little more pop in their arsenal. This week, the federal Environmental Protection Agency signed off on allowing a reformulated pyrotechnic hand grenade to be used at the base. The M116A1 grenades don't contain any perchlorate, a chemical common in fireworks and munitions that is one of the toxins being cleaned up from groundwater at the Massachusetts Military Reservation. ...
