Feds try again to sell Army Engine Plant

STRATFORD -- After two failed attempts in as many years to move the Army Engine Plant off the auction block, the federal government is trying again to sell the 78-acre waterfront brownfield through a sealed bidding process.

The closing date, according to the General Services Administration's property disposal website, is June 30.

The GSA received two bids early this year for the property, but both fell short of bidding requirements and were declined, according to GSA spokeswoman Paula Santangelo.
