Schilling cleanup case moves forward Tim Unruh Salina Journal (KS) March 27, 2013 Salina Public Entities and the federal government filed a joint settlement agreement Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Kansas City aimed at devising a plan to clean up contamination at the former Schilling Air Force Base in southwest Salina. Of the nearly $9.4 million cost, the feds will pay more than $8.4 million. The city of Salina will pay the remaining 10 percent -- $936,300.
