Subject: | [CPEO-MEF] CPEO's FINANCIAL SITUATION |
CPEO's FINANCIAL SITUATION Please excuse redundant postings. For the past several years, most of CPEO's funding has come from U.S. EPA Brownfields Research, Training, and Technical Assistance Grants. Our current five-year grant runs out this Fall, and EPA – presumably because of the budget mess in DC – has not yet issued a follow-on request for proposals. At this point, CPEO plans to continue our services – newsgroups, visits to communities, technical assistance, reports, etc. – so we will be seeking new sources of funding to tide us over. We have decided NOT to charge for our newsgroups, but we will be sending out a limited number of requests for individual donations. More important, we are seeking opportunities with private foundations, partnership or subcontract work, and odd jobs. We hope to receive funding to provide technical assistance, organizing assistance, community research, and/or facilitation services. If you have ideas or know the right people, please get in touch. Thanks.
