U.S. EPA Region 4 News Release September 20, 2013EPA, Air Force, Florida sign Cleanup Agreement for Tyndall Air Force Base (ATLANTA – September 20, 2013) the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the United States Air Force, and the Florida Department Environmental Protection signed a federal facility agreement (FFA) today that will provide the framework and accountability necessary to continue cleanup and to protect the community and the environment at Tyndall Air Force Base, located in the Florida Panhandle. With the signing of the agreement, the three agencies have committed to work closely together to align project goals, facilitate the exchange of information, ensure public participation for the benefit of all parties involved, and select remedies that address past contamination. ...
