SPAWAR workers relocated due to fumes TCE levels are elevated as a result of previous missile production By Joel Hoffmann San Diego Union-Tribune (CA) October 2, 2014More than 150 employees of the Navy's SPAWAR facility in Old Town have been moved to temporary offices elsewhere to avoid toxic vapors that are a vestige of the building's history as a missile and aircraft production plant. The affected workers were moved last month. Some were given a choice, but women of childbearing age were required to relocate, according to documents obtained by U-T Watchdog.
