No plan yet to clean up missile site contamination by Lucas High Wyoming Tribune Eagle January 17, 2015 CHEYENNE - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality have yet to formulate a solid plan to contain and clean up a contaminated 1960s-era missile site west of Cheyenne. Meanwhile, Atlas Missile Site No. 4 continues leaching the chemical trichloroethylene, or TCE, into the groundwater beneath the site. A contaminated plume of groundwater extends for about 10 miles east of the site. The contamination was caused by spilled chemicals used to clean the missile silos, which were once operated by crews from F.E.
