Comment period opens on Fort Ord cleanup plan Salinas Californian April 8, 2015 The U.S. Army is seeking comments from community members on the Army’s Proposed Plan for Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Area B and Munitions Response Site (MRS) 16, during a 30-day public comment period that opened Wednesday, April 8, and closes May 8, according to a release. BLM Area B and MRS-16 are located north and east of the former Impact Area and occupy about 1,600 acres of the Fort Ord National Monument, currently open to public recreation.
