Could the San Francisco Shipyard's slew of housing reel in Google? by Cory Weinberg San Francisco Business Times June 16, 2015 As developer Lennar Urban tries to lure the likes of Google Inc. to an unproven office hub on the southeastern tip of the city, it can use this tasty bait: Lots and lots of housing is getting built there. The Hunters Point Shipyard-Candlestick Point project will eventually have 12,000 units over 800 acres, the first fraction of which have started sales and already sold out. Meanwhile, Silicon Valley tech giants that are pining for more housing to get built in the region.
