Water supply a concern for Camp Bullis By Scott Huddleston San Antonio Express-News (TX) September 15, 2015 Local leaders and the San Antonio Water System announced plans Tuesday for an $11 million project to build nearly 4 miles of pipeline to help ensure that San Antonio will remain “Military City USA.” SAWS officials said the city-owned utility has made construction of a 1,700-foot-long pipeline to Camp Bullis its top priority in an agreement with Joint Base San Antonio to be the primary water source for the 28,000-acre North Side training reservation, which currently relies on wells in the Trinity Aquifer. “Camp Bullis has Trinity wells that are very susceptible to drought.
