Contamination death lawsuit against Fort Detrick dismissed By Kelsi Loos Frederick News-Post (MD) August 12, 2016 A U.S. District Court judge has dismissed a lawsuit that sought damages on behalf of people believed to have been harmed and killed by exposure to contaminants at Fort Detrick. Judge Catherine C. Blake issued a memo filed Thursday, stating that the court did not have jurisdiction to hear the case. The decision dismisses a $750,000,000 class-action suit filed in August 2015 by people who believe their loved ones were affected by the Army’s disposal of hazardous waste, including the estate of Kristen Renee, who died of brain cancer at age 30, and her father Randy White’s family. ...
