Public meeting in Marina on lifting residential use restriction on Parker Flats, endowment parcel

Marina >> A public meeting hosted by the Army will explain a change, seek comment, and answer questions about the lifting of a residential use restriction to a parcel of land in the Parker Flats area that includes the endowment parcel associated with the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery.

Stan Cook, Fort Ord Reuse Authority senior program manager, said the Army conducted munitions cleanup on the parcel in the Parker Flats area.

“FORA did an additional evaluation and collected additional data to verify munitions cleanups were adequately completed and the area is appropriate for residential use,” Cook said.
