DEC commissioner, officials tour Wantagh plume site News 12 (NY) August 10, 2017 WANTAGH - State environmental officials were on Long Island Thursday to inspect new wells that were installed after contamination was found in the groundwater near the old Grumman site in Bethpage. State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos and other local officials were at the deep groundwater monitoring well on the Seamans Neck Road site in Wantagh.
