Newburgh residents wary of filtered water By Leonard Sparks Middletown Times Herald-Record (NY) January 24, 2018 CITY OF NEWBURGH - In February 2017, as contractors worked on a new water filtration system that will allow Newburgh to resume drawing water from its contaminated primary drinking water supply, state officials announced the full activation of a similar system in the upstate Village of Hoosick Falls. Catherine Dawson was among the village residents told that their tap water was now safe to drink.
