Subject: | [CPEO-MEF] REUSE: Dos Amantes, a proposed property development in Ukudu, Dededo." (GU) |
The Hybrid Guam Land Use Commission has unanimously approved the zone height variance application for Dos Amantes, a proposed property development in Ukudu, Dededo. The property lots are located east of Two Lovers Point, and less than a mile from the Northern Wastewater Treatment Plant. The property is also located near the site of the Guam Power Authority's proposed power plant. … The property development site is on remediated land, according to Makio. He said the site was part of the Harmon Annex developed by the U.S. Air Force in the mid-1940s for housing and administrative facilities. The lots were returned in 2002, with the record of decision report noting that some of the properties within the Harmon Annex were found to contain brownfield contamination. According to Makio, the contamination has been mitigated and the property complies with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency standards. … For the entire article, see https://www.postguam.com/news/local/land-commission-approves-two-lovers-point-development/article_e0d47c90-17aa-11e8-b7bd-53a47282d6c5.html -- Lenny Siegel Executive Director Center for Public Environmental Oversight a project of the Pacific Studies Center P.O.
