Corps offers cleanup update By Lisa Brichacek Wahoo Newspaper (NE) May 23, 2018 MEAD – An open house and tour of the former Nebraska Ordnance Plant southeast of Mead last week offered a routine report. Over 300 monitoring wells are still at work and the contamination of groundwater under the NOP site is still contained. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Project Manager Janet Mathews-Flynn provided that information in response to questions during the tour. The Corps’ annual site tour and open house was held May 16.
