Oscoda Township receives $1 million to fight PFAS contamination By Bob Johnson MLive.com (MI) October 22, 2018 OSCODA TWP, MI -- Oscoda Township will receive $1 million to help residents get clean drinking water and help clean up contamination around a former U.S. Air Force base. U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee, D-Flint Township, announced on Monday, Oct. 22, that the money will come from two grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and will be used to connect homes using well water to the municipal drinking water system to protect residents from Per- and polyfluoroalkyl, or PFAS, exposure.
