PFAS investigation will accelerate at long-closed Michigan military base By Paula Gardner MLive (MI) July 1, 2019 A verbal agreement to speed up the pace of work that should help control the spread of PFAS from the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base into nearby waterways follows more than a year of pressure from Michigan officials and community activists. The announcement made July 1 says the U.S. Air Force agreed to multiple points raised in dispute resolution meetings.
