Possible missile site remediation pushed back to 2025

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) on the former Lincoln Titan 1 missile site, scheduled for public release in spring/summer 2023, will not be released until 2024.

And the federal agency’s “recommended course of action” won’t be known until the end of 2025.

The above statements are according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Sacramento district last week.

Operational from 1962 to 1965, the former missile site at 401 Oak Tree Lane was never cleaned up by the Army Corps of Engineers or by the county, which has owned the site since 1968.
