Mill fits nicely into brownfield project, city planner says By Corey Lewis - Daily World Writer http://www.thedailyworld.com The high - tech sawmill Sierra Pacific Industries of California wants to build at Junction City will hasten redevelopment efforts in that area, according to Aberdeen City Planner Brian Shea. Though the mill site isn't within Aberdeen's city limits, the city has a vested interest, Shea said today. City Hall has taken a lead in the Junction City Brownfield Pilot Project, an effort designed to clean up contaminated land in the neighborhood along the Chehalis River just east of Aberdeen while exploring opportunities for economic growth.
