Subject: | [CPEO-BIF] How does the Supreme Court Decision affect the Camden, NJ Title VI |
Dear Brownfields Colleagues, I've been told that the Camden, NJ decision may be short-lived. If I read the NY Times article correctly the Supreme Court basically said that individuals can no longer sue under Title VI on the basis of discriminatory impact - only "intentional" discrimination. Could someone with a better understanding of the Title VI law give the newsgroup audience a better breakdown of the Supreme Court Decision? How will it affect other pending cases? Thanks in advance.
