CPEO is co-sponsoring a free educational workshop for community organizations and residents of brownfield communities in Northern New Jersey and Southern New York. Please circulate this announcement to people in your community who may wish to attend. ************************************************************************ The Center for Public Environmental Oversight (CPEO), in cooperation with the Mayor of Jersey City, the Honorable Glenn D. Cunningham, the Jersey City Department of Public Works and community leaders from Jersey City's Morris Canal area invites you to attend a workshop on brownfields revitalization. At street level, take a Montgomery-West Side Newport Mall Bus, heading west. _From New York City - Driving _From the Holland Tunnel, take the Rt.#1 & 9, Rt # 139 bearing left to Kennedy Blvd. At Kennedy Blvd, turn left and proceed through Journal Square to Bergen Ave. Take Bergen Ave. about 12 blocks until you come to Montgomery Street. Make a left on to Montgomery Street. You will pass the Jersey City Armory on your left. Continue on and pass the Old Jersey City Medical Center at Baldwin Ave. Go down the hill to Florence Street and you will find the school on the right hand side of the street. It is across from the Montgomery Garden Projects. _From South Jersey Take Rt#1 & 9 North to Jersey City. Turn left at Rt. #440 and proceed to Duncan Ave. Lincoln Park is on your right. Turn right on to Duncan Ave. and continue to West Side Avenue. At West Side Avenue turn left and go two blocks to Montgomery St. Continue up the hill and cross over Kennedy Blvd. Continue on Montgomery St. and pass the Jersey City Armory and Old Jersey Medical Center. Go down to the bottom of the hill and you have reached Florence St. The school is on the right side of Montgomery St. _From North Jersey Take Rt.# 1 & 9 South to Rt. #440. Take right hand turn to Duncan Ave. Cross over Rt.#440 and continue east on Duncan Ave. until you reach West Side Avenue. Turn left on to West Side Ave. and follow the above direction (From South Jersey). New Jersey Turnpike-North or South.Take the Turnpike to Exit 14C Jersey City. Come down the ramp and you will stop at Montgomery St. Turn left under the Turnpike and go two blocks to Florence St. The Hudson County Prep School is on your left.
