Tests narrow Keizer water pollution search

KEIZER ? New tests are reaffirming initial reports released in March
pointing to an industrial park next to SUMCO?s North Salem plant as a
possible source of contamination to Keizer?s groundwater.

Trace amounts of tri-chloroethylene, or TCE, were detected in March at
SUMCO as the company prepared its plant for sale. 

State investigators linked the chemicals to a plume of contaminants
discovered last fall in Keizer.
