Toxic site may hamper Giants plan Peter Corbett The Arizona Republic September 18, 2004 SCOTTSDALE - Building a new San Francisco Giants training facility adjacent to Scottsdale Stadium could be complicated by the fact that there are toxic-chemical issues tied to the site, city spokesman Pat Dodds said. The 10-acre site east of the stadium is one of three locations the city is considering for the $18 million training complex that would include new baseball fields, batting cages and a clubhouse.
