Fowlerville to consider tax relief for new industry Company wants old location of Stanley Tools By Kevin Shopshire Lansing State Journal (MI) November 27, 2004 FOWLERVILLE - A former contaminated industrial property that once was the village's largest employer may soon be productive again following a $7 million cleanup. The village council has set a public hearing for Monday to establish a New Industrial District at the site of the former Stanley Tools factory at Frank Street and Veterans Drive. The facility was torn down more than 10 years ago. Establishing a district is the first step for the village to be able to offer tax relief to attract industry to the site. Fred Dillingham, executive director of the Economic Development Council of Livingston County, said American Compounding Specialties plans to build a facility on 4.7 aces of e 11-acre parcel. ...
