State strikes back at MBKBy DYLAN DARLING Klamath Falls Herald and News March 23, 2005 Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers has accused the developers of the North Ridge Estates of racketeering and asked a judge to fine the partners $3 million and put them out of business. Myers said in a civil suit that the business partners of MBK Partnership of Klamath Falls sold real estate they knew contained asbestos and didn't tell buyers. "We believe that these folks were engaged in a pattern of activity where they misrepresented the product to these potential consumers," said spokesman Kevin Neely. In advertising and selling homes and plots at the 52-acre subdivision between 1990 and 2002, the company violated state racketeering laws, Myers said in court papers filed Friday. ...
