Subject: | [CPEO-BIF] Vapor testing at Norco schools |
I?ve looked at the data showing vapor intrusion at the Norco High School, and I can?t understand why regulators are hesitant to test all classrooms. There is significant variation among the classrooms already tested, suggesting the presence of preferential pathways. The best way to identify them is to sample each room. It may also prove useful to substitute real-time or near-real-time sampling techniques for the current Summa canister method, which is slow and does a poor job of pinpointing pathways. A well designed near-real-time sampling program may prove less expensive than a drawn-out Summa campaign.
