Lewistown's cleanup effort is an inspiration Great Falls Tribune (MT) January 18, 2006 Officials and residents of Great Falls could look to their central Montana neighbor Lewistown for environmental inspiration. The Brewery Flats cleanup project near that fair city should be in the dictionary as the definition of a grass-roots movement. The term applies on both literal and figurative levels. Work on the former industrial site and adjacent strip of state land on the southern outskirts of town involved, among many other things, planting and nurturing grass. It also involved - and this is the inspiring part - the vision and hundreds of hours of work by a platoon of local volunteers. ...
