CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS!
*Deadline for submissions is February 28, 2006. Ideas for presentations are being solicited for the first annual Restoration 2006 Conference, sponsored by ICMA in partnership with the National League of Cities and the National Association of Counties. The conference is focused on community and economic recovery after a disaster and will take place May 16-17, 2006 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel in the historic district of New Orleans, Louisiana. Restoration 2006 will feature a robust educational program of general sessions, panel presentations, and discussion-oriented roundtables as well as peer-to-peer exchanges focused on various aspects of long-term economic and community recovery. Additionally, a solutions exhibit hall will feature disaster recovery firms and organizations with products, services, and resources appropriate for community and economic redevelopment. Educational tracks include: Community, Service and Infrastructure Recovery; Economic Development, Business and Job Restoration; Financing and Incentive Approaches; Environmental Concerns; and Collaboration for Restoration.
