Mt. Pleasant seeking cleanup of fire site

Mt. Pleasant city officials are increasing pressure on an East Lansing 
corporation to redevelop the property at Mission and Preston streets 
following an arson last fall that destroyed a longtime business.

Representatives from Bobenal Investments have proposed tearing down the 
building that once housed Pizza King, The Store and a clothing store, 
and constructing a building that would have retail space on the first 
floor and residential units on the second floor, Mt. Pleasant City 
Planner Tony Kulick said.

Kulick said Tuesday that a letter is being sent this week to Bobenol 
Investments in an effort to get the proposed project moving.
